Super delicious authentic Szechuan cuisine from a professional chef.
Yes that's true that the name of the restaurant is confusing like a random low-end restaurant and I also didn't have any expectation on it before I walk in. But I was totally wrong. I lived in Szechuan for 4 years before and I feel like "that's it" after I taste the dry fried green bean. Then I noticed the technique the chef used is also professional: if you've learned Chinese cuisine techniques, you will find every detail of the dish is as standard as the textbook, from the shape of the food to how the spices are pre cooked. Also don't feel bad if you find the service is not as good as in western restaurant because that's how Chinese restaurant works: they care more about food than the service.
If you want to have authentic Szechuan cuisine, come here. I swear this is the best Szechuan cuisine I've ever had in Vancouver. -

I like their Chicken Broccoli Noodle item they have. The price is just right. Tasty and quick to make.
I haven't tried anything so I don't know how other dishes are. They're sometimes very busy and it's best come in if you see it's not, otherwise there may be a wait. -

The major negative of this restaurant is the name. CCTV means a lot to the owner, but is very confusing if you don't know the back story. Many passed by without considering coming in. Shared the pork dumplings which were delicious. The cashew chicken was tasty, but bland and skimpy on the cashews. Just needed a tasty punch of something. There were no condiments on the table, including salt or pepper. My friend had a spicy pork dish and said it was good. The wine was on the cheaper side at $6 a glass. Great view (except the construction fence)

This place sucks. The woman laughed when she messed up our order and served us only to take the food back and bring to another table! Do not waste money here

The only Chinese restaurant on the marine drive strip and it's reminiscent of China Chinese food. Not Cantonese style. Name of restaurant could be more creative than using CCTV which is the main Chinese network channel. China Canada Tsingtao Vancouver whaaaaat?
